Torghatten Marathon is an island marathon taking place in Sør-Helgeland, more specifically in Brønnøy, "Midway through the route, in the middle of Norway." The race includes several distances: marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.098 km), Øygaloppen (10 km), mini marathon (3.6 km), children's race (550 m), and a parallel race. The full and half marathon courses start and finish at Nordhus Stadium and run on asphalt in scenic surroundings along Helgeland's beautiful archipelago, with parts of the course on gravel roads around the legendary Torghatten.
